It may sound contradictory to refer to someone as an introverted Extravert. But personality does not exist in absolutes.
Introversion and Extraversion can best be pictured as opposite ends of a personality spectrum. You may be closer to one end than the other, but not 100-percent defined as one or the other.
People seek jobs or accept job offers for all kinds of reasons. If everything goes well, they may make the perfect career choice and choose a job that allows them to fulfill their dreams for a long time. If they made the wrong decision, however, they may be looking for a way out within months of starting. In other instances, jobs can offer some legitimate benefits, but lose their appeal after a few years.
You may have been called a highly sensitive person by one or more people who know you well. If so, they likely intended it as a general observation. But being ahighly sensitive person (HSP)is actually a real thing.
Many people think Extraverts like to talk all the time, whileIntrovertsprefer not to talk at all. Superficially this might seem true, but it is a stereotyped version of the differences that mark the Introvert vs. Extravert dividing line.
Stress, frustration, and overload can leaveEnneagram Foursfeeling completely overwhelmed. These sensitive types may struggle to manage situations that test their limits, as their coping skills are pushed past the breaking point. They are unlikely to flee these environments, however, since they are responsible and would feel guilty about not sticking it out.
If you’re an Enneagram Four, you might be overwhelmed by situations that:
Intuitive-feelers personality types — those with NF as their middle letters on theMyers and Briggs 16 type test— share many defining characteristics. But divergent life experiences create plenty of variety within the type.
The differences may be observed at the individual level. But they may also be seen through the lens of gender. Intuitive-Feeling men may think, act, and react differently than Intuitive-Feeling women. Not in every instance, but at least in some.
INFJsare imaginative, empathic, and deeply reflective by nature. These characteristics make them flexible and adaptable, and that means their personalities can show up in a whole bunch of ways, such that two INFJs will never look quite the same.
INFPs often enter new ventures filled with excitement and anticipation. They convince themselves that this new job/relationship/course/volunteer opportunity/hobby will bring them the happiness and fulfillment they’ve been seeking.
Driven by idealism, high expectations, and energetic enthusiasm, they come in with their hearts and minds open—only to have their hopes dashed when their goals prove more difficult to reach than they imagined. Or when the people they’re involved with, or work with, or try to collaborate with, offer resistance instead of cooperation.
INFJsare easy to work alongside, since they do their best to be supportive of their co-workers and preserve harmony in the workplace at all costs. They are not the type to be openly critical or dismissive of others, preferring to lead by example or to influence behavior through positive feedback.
WhenIntrovertsbecome angry, they tend to hold everything inside, hiding their anger from others and even from themselves.
或者至少this is what most people think. In fact, this idea is more myth than reality.
