"I think this goes to show that people are too complex to allocate in something as definitive as a "personality type"."

A person's MBTI type isn't meant to be definitive. Personality types are meant to be used as tools to help you develop yourself. If you approach it like "well, this type doesn't capture every single aspect of my personality" then you're missing the point. The idea is to find the type that fits youbetterthan the others, not the one that captures every single aspects of your personality because that isn't possible.

Personality types are meant to separate out common behaviors so that you can better understand yourself and get an idea of how you may be different or similar to other people. So you have a common language to use to make connections between the way you think and behave and how other people do. You're supposed to think things like "Hm, I do tend to value [x] a bit more often than not, but my brother doesn't value [x] at all. Maybe that's why he doesn't seem to understand why certain things are so important to me."
