I think many people mistake "logical" to mean "correct." When it comes to religion, the difference between INTP and INFP is more about how the two types engage with religious ideology, rather than the states of being "religious" and "not religious." What makes being religious more difficult for T types is that conceptualised morality is not always logical; in fact, it's often contradictory. Nevertheless, morality may still be presented as logically valid, even if the conclusion is not correct, and INTP's may maintain their religious status by clinging to what is rational and avoiding/ignoring the irrational (which is within the traits of the INTP to do anyway).
