Beautifully said. I have just recently discovered this myself. My latest job was a horrible fit and I eventually had to admit that to myself.
The interesting thing is, even if this were true, I can still say that I made a great impact and everyone came away with benefits.
This is the truth about employment. More truly than these arbitrary values like "loyalty" or a "career", work is a value exchange.
