Appreciate your comments on this subject! I found a test that broke down types percentage wise and it came out as INFJ - 48%, INFP - 44%, ENTJ - 8%. In reading the profiles that's definitely my personality and I've heard it's rare to be just one type but instead a variation of traits that we bring out when necessary.

When the MBTI was first being used to screen job applicants decades ago I was read as an ENTJ. That sure didn't sound like me when I read about it but there were no negatives and I was described as 'the most balanced person' he'd ever tested.

So on with my life until I decided to reorder my priorities and figure out what I really wanted to do. Eventually started taking the online tests and to my surprise up popped the Introvert side of me, which in reality is who I've always been.

My career required I step up in seemingly extroverted ways but looking back I can see they were all introverted ways of doing those. Recently an older friend argued that I'm not an introvert and acted like that was a bad thing. So I educated him with both the INFJ/INFP descriptions and sure enough, he agrees that is me.

My life in the late teens, early twenties made me more social so definitely an ambivert but if I can be alone and work on projects, that is pure Heaven! Have also discovered I am an empath, intuitive, HSP & a truth seeker - now it all makes more sense.

Working on setting up a science related blog and have a list of subjects for ebooks pending, so being me is a lot more fun these days.
