I have an e-friend who types characters, even ones from The Railway Series, which is train bedtime stories. Not sure if that's what you think from the title, but that's what the stories began as, stories a loving father told his son when he didn't feel well and also at bedtime. The characters are train engines, coaches, cars and also people. Some work for the railway, one's the controller (book term) and some are passengers or maybe engine's friends. I'm not British, the stories are, but I retain their vocabulary when I talk about them. She typed the Pride and Prejudice characters, but not Jane Eyre yet. Crazy how all the books I mention here are British.
