I appreciate your desire for "proof" via statistics, yet; the authors credibility here is rooted in her stated years of work, general background, & obvious (to me as a 9) insight. Statics would vary on factors such as subtypes, if the 9 is coming from a place of fear (goes to 6 & worries/overthinks=inaction) or their power (goes to 3, but doesn't feed on recognition or glory), etc., etc.
A healthy 9 is plenty competitive and tenacious, but leans towards playing fairly & ethically.
