The part about wanting to find a reason for their feelings is so true. Every time I feel an intense emotion I must understand the reason. I’ll go through my mind to understand why I feel angry/sad/depressed etc. if I find a good reason I’ll feel better and allow it to pass. If I can’t find a logical reason why a strong emotion has over taken me I get scared and obsess over. I don’t want to leave my house or do anything on my agenda. To allow myself to just feel something when I’ve told myself the feeling doesn’t match the situation or event appropriately is next to impossible. I feel like I’m going to have a meltdown sometimes.
