INTJs judge their animals like they judge people. LOL. Dog or cat - doesn't matter - we like smart and purposeful. I think if you choose a smarter breed or a breed that has a purpose (like protective, caring for the sick, a good sleuth, etc...) then that animal makes good company for an INTJ. I have a cat who is a Maine Coon and they are known to be a highly intelligent breed. My cat is very dog-like in that he takes commands. He hates people and other animals but is very outspoken. I think he is INTJ too! LOL.
