This is so spot on, it's scary. I am an accountant but definitely do not have "traditional" job duties. I get to read through accounting literature/guidance and long drawn out legal docs and see how the guidance fits in to the types of deals my company does on a day to day basis. It is definitely not the typical job for an accountant and now I know why I love it so much. I use my brain every day and there is a little menacing part of me that LIKES to tell everyone else how to account for things and what they should all be doing. Probably not the best personality trait but it IS my job after all...don't I get a pass? :0)
