5 Famous INFJs Who Make the World a Better Place

INFJ is the rarest personality type among Myers and Briggs'bob平台有哪些 , making up only 2 percent of the population. Idealistic and dedicated, people with this personality type feel best when helping others realize their potential and live their own truth.

It comes as no surprise then, that manybob娱乐平台 value community service and embrace humanitarian causes, seeking to make a real impact in the lives of those around them. Here are five famous INFJs who live to make the world a better place.

1. Lady Gaga

It might seem odd to type Lady Gaga as an Introvert. After all, she is famous for her extravagant looks and powerful performances, owning the stage when she sings like a trueborn entertainer.

This doesn’t mean that Gaga appreciates being a public figure or enjoys the attention that comes with it. In a 2011interview, when asked about how she deals with fame, Gaga confesses, “she never gets used to it.” She explains how she uses her work to deviate the media’s attention from her personal life so she can keep a degree of privacy — something essential for the reserved INFJ. There’s a reason why Gaga decided to use a persona instead of her own name.

As an INFJ, Gaga’sbob娱乐平台 nature shines, not only in her music and empowering lyrics but also in her work offstage. In 2011, the musician created the Born This Way Foundation, an association that aims to help the well-being and mental health of young people.

She also shows a strong sense of personal integrity and a need to connect at a deeper level. In aspeechdelivered at Yale University in 2015, Gaga explained how she feels uncomfortable in an industry that values appearance and superficiality: “I don't like wasting my days just shaking people's hands and smiling and taking selfies. It feels shallow to my existence. I have a lot more to offer than my image.” It's safe to say her integrity has paid off, as Lady Gaga is now a global superstar and a role model for many young people.

2. J.K. Rowling

Though it’s difficult to type strangers, J.K Rowling made the task easier by confirming she is an INFJ in Tweets from2015and2016. Indeed, Rowling appears to be a classic Introvert, feeling energized by quiet time alone, and preferring meaningful conversations to small talk. In a 2015interviewfor The Guardian, she states: “I’m a small-group person. My dream is a small group I know very well, then we have an intense conversation. I don’t want an argument, but I want a conversation about things that really matter.”

Like most INFJs, Rowling has an altruistic spirit and strives to improve people’s lives. In 2005, she co-foundedLumos, an association that’s dedicated to ending the institutionalization of children. She also supports charities and associations that defend causes she believes in: “I’ve tried hard to support things that burningly matter to me, or that I can speak about with some authority – I’m president of Gingerbread, the one-parent charity, which means a lot for obvious reasons. Multiple sclerosis research – that’s what my mother had.”

Rowling’s sense of integrity and humanity is also visible in her work. In fact,a studyfrom the University of Módena e Reggio Emília in Italy suggests reading Harry Potter can increase your empathy, which is perhaps the greatest magic of JK Rowling’s work.

3. Melinda Gates

Melinda Gates, wife of Microsoft’s co-founder Bill Gates, is a quiet and introspective person who values her privacy. Since she started dating her husband Bill, she kept the relationship discreet and safe from gossip from both co-workers, family members and the wider public. "While I understand that your readers may find my story interesting because of the man I married,” sheaffirmedin a 1995 interview, “it is a personal decision for me not to share information about our relationship or my personal life with the world at large."

As an INFJ, Melinda’s service-oriented nature is most visible in her work as a co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, an association which aims to tackle complex problems such as extreme poverty, gender inequality and the failures of America’s education system. More generally, it seems clear that finding innovative solutions to help others and creating change is what drives Gates in every project she helms — a distinctive INFJ trait. When explaining what excited her about working at Microsoft, for example, shesaid: “We were changing the world; we were creating products that never existed before.”

4. Jane Goodall

Jane Goodall may be a quiet and private person, but her work as a primatologist was groundbreaking, revolutionizing how we think about wildlife.

尽管没有学士学位资格for the job, Goodall pursued her childhood dream to work with chimps, staying true to herself and proving to everyone that she could do it. In aninterviewfrom 2019, Goodall explains how her plan as a child was to: “grow up, go to Africa, live with wild animals, and write books about them.” This, at a time when female primatologists were unheard of.

Goodall is also known for taking an unorthodox approach to her work, focusing on one macro concept — the idea that chimps could have personalities just as humans do — instead of losing herself in the tiny details.

As an INFJ, Goodall feels accomplished when helping others succeed. Besides her work with chimps, she created theRoots and Hootsprogram, an initiative that aims to empower young people so they can start creating change in their own communities. Throughout her life, Jane Goodall stayed true to her INFJ self — putting her shyness aside, speaking up about the causes that matter to her most deeply, and sharing her knowledge with the world.

5. Edward Snowden

If there’s someone who knows what it’s like to sacrifice everything in order to defend what you believe in, it’s Edward Snowden. The former Intelligence Community officer became famous in 2013 when he leaked high-classified information, revealing the US government’s system of mass surveillance that many say threatens our privacy. Snowden leaked the information because he believed the public needed to know the truth, demonstrating a deep moral code and strong sense of personal integrity.

In his memoir Permanent Record, Snowden explains how committed he is to fight for truth and freedom, and how it gives meaning to his life: “What makes a life? More than what we say; more, even, than what we do. A life is also, what we love, and what we believe in.”

Staying true to his principles, Edward Snowden continues to educate young people on the importance of advocacy and defending causes that are significant to them. The famous whistleblower admits he does not regret his decision, concluding: “You have to be ready to stand for something if you want it to change.”

Andreia Esteves

Andreia is an INFJ who used to think she was the only person in the world terrified of answering the phone. She works as a freelance writer covering all things mental health, and psychology related. When not writing, you’ll find her cozying up with a book, or baking vegan treats. Find her at:https://andreiaesteves.com/

I am also an INFJ who shares very similar visionary passion as Benjamin T. Fisher. Would appreciate collaboration on ideas and project support in these areas. Invitation to connect with those interested in a group discussion.

I'm very sure Lady Gaga is an ISFP. Her whole aesthetic just screams Fi.

Also: JK Rowling may see herself as an INFJ, but I'm very sure she is an INFP. Her lapses in judgement? Very untypical for the thoughout and methodic approach of an INFJ.

why do you think you can know people better than themselves

Known transphobe JK Rowling makes the world a "better place" apparently.

DragonflySparrow (not verified)says...

仅仅因为JK罗琳认为不同于哟u doesn't mean she's a transphobe. People with narrow minds have put her in a proverbial "transphobe" box because it's simpler to call her a name than to think about - or civily discuss - the reprecussions that affirmative therapy has on individuals. Affirmative Therapy happens to people who seek treatment, and instead of vetting out their issues, they are confirmed as Transgender without the therapist questioning it, and without second opinion, thereby reinforcing an idea that may or may not be true for them. People with narrow minds completely ignore the fact that there are a percentage of Transgendered freinds amongst us who absolutely *regret* damaging their physical bodies. Those of them who regret and transition back to their original gender are swept under the rug and ostrasized within their own communities. It's so heartbreaking. People who lable others are either full of hate themselves, are not open to wholistic thinking, or they are not in tune with their own intuitions... or a combonation of all those things. Anyone who disagrees with a brand new way of thinking is currently labled as a hateful person, instead of someone who wants to discuss the validity of such bold assumptions of a person's identity within the theraputic community. When only one side of a conversation is allowed to be on the table, it's not really a conversation anymore, it's an indoctrination.

DragonflySparrow所以是正确的。目前看到的ms one is not allowed to question things or have alternative ideas. We must just accept the dominant prevailing view without question or be labelled as backwards and prejudiced. The transgender matter has an impact on biological women (who identify as women) and their rights and how this can be addressed to the satisfaction of both sides must be debated instead of biological women who are concerned being made to be silent. I am not even sure if it has even been fully explored, researched and investigated whether there are other social or psychological factors involved in the transgender issue and now no researcher would dare to ask questions about what else might going on in the minds of some transgendered people, leaving many of them to travel an unhappy, dissatisfied road. Lots of people think they are things which they are not for various reasons. Then they so closely link the transgender issue with gay rights issue when they probably do not actually have much in common at all. I do not know how we can continue as a society if we cannot freely ask questions or even disagree with each other without someone getting offended and crying prejudice. I applaud JK for speaking up and I do not think she is hateful.

Even if she is, that's not all she is. We all have bright and dark sides. Don't focus on the dark side. Let her grow at her own pace.

Hmm to me, Lady Gaga seems to be way more of an ISFP-T personality. Even if it makes little doubt a lot of artists must show a persona in public, it still makes a lot of sense: very much a feeler personality, talking a lot about her ideas (what she believes in), doing it in rather clumsy and unusual still very visual ways (meet dress advocating for gay rights in the military?!). A wanting to speak about deep matters despite being a lot about the visuals attitude that to me feels more like Se > Ni and developpement of ter function (with experience).

Source: I have a rather Se-aux favored personality-type.

Fareez (not verified)says...

In my opinion, she is actually an INFJ because you can clearly see that she is not an Fi dominant but instead an Fe type of person. You can clearly see in a lot of interview that she is always put this professional nice face and being respectful. That is what an Fe types would always do, they care more about how they make people feel, they want to make people feel comfortable and included. Her emotions are more extrovertedly motivated than internally. For example she would always laugh when any interviewer make some silly jokes even if it's not that funny just to be nice and respectful. Also, she would do something that would make people go "Yass Queen, Yasss you are iconic" which mean that she want to make people be proud of her because that would make her feel good. Fe type of people feel good when their surroundings is great and when people feel great. Other than that, she always say that she wanted to make a difference, which mean that she always notice common people's or society's typical behavioral pattern or expectations and she wanted to change that which is really and Ni Ti Se ways of thinking. And also, when she talk about how she is treated like a freak weirdo back then when she was in school...that literally is a typical INFJs things. Other celebrities who is also an INFJ are Zendaya and Benedict Cumberbatch.

一些人认为INFJs无处不在,这是ridiculous to the point where real INFJs probably can no longer see themselves described or understood in most internet type discussions. INFJS are truly, rare usually loner types, who hate being stared at, hate attention and most people likely have not interacted much with one personally. INFJs are never quirky nor sweet to start with and they come across and often are hard rather than soft. The less rare types like ISFJ, INFP and ISFP who really do not have that much in common with infjs in a non superficial way seem to constantly be mistaken for them, like Lady GaGa here who is clearly some sort of perceiving in the XXXP sense type who really has no INFJ traits or signs of strong Ni whatsoever.
